Hotel Management

The Hotel Management program is designed to prepare students for a successful career in the hospitality industry by providing them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to manage hotels, resorts, and other hospitality businesses. This field focuses on various aspects of hotel operations, including customer service, front office management, food and beverage management, event planning, housekeeping, and overall business administration.

Students in a Hotel Management program will learn how to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of a hospitality establishment, while also developing leadership skills and an understanding of the financial, marketing, and human resource elements required in the industry. The course offers a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training to ensure that students are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the fast-paced and ever-evolving hospitality sector.

Program Duration:

A Hotel Management program typically lasts between 3 to 4 years for a bachelor’s degree, but diploma and certificate courses can range from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the institution and the depth of the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Undergraduate Programs (BHM): Applicants typically need to have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade) from a recognized board. Some institutions may prefer candidates with a background in hospitality, tourism, or business, but it is not always mandatory.

For Diploma/Certificate Programs: Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade). Some institutions may have additional requirements, such as an entrance exam or interview.

For Postgraduate Programs (MHM): A Bachelor’s degree in hotel management or a related field is usually required for admission to a Master’s program.
